Welcome
Our names are Heidi Straka and Michelle Fouts. We are two teachers who love to get younger readers hooked on books. Together we have 50 years experience in lower elementary education.
In the last few years, we’ve found many different ways to cultivate the love of reading at school and home. With the love of reading and best practices, we saw great growth in their reading skills.
Together, we began a new journey to build strong readers in our classrooms. We have created HookedOnBooksABC social media accounts, to share all of our ideas to help support your students daily in their literacy journey.
